Do you have a Google Ads campaign and wanted your ads to show only a specific device? Let’s say for example for mobile or desktop only?

In this article, I’ll be showing you how to do this and even set a specific bid on a device.

In your Google Ads dashboard, just select the campaign you wanted to change the device targeting and bid adjustment. Once you select the campaign, in the left side, scroll down and choose Devices. You can do this via campaign or ad group level.

My campaign is running all 3 devices which are computers, mobile phones, and tablets.

As you can see, desktops are converting a lot better compared to mobile devices and tablets. It makes sense in this situation to bid on desktop only since as I’ve mentioned, it is outperforming mobile devices.

Here’s how to adjust the bid per device: For illustration purposes, If you wanted to decrease bids for mobile devices, go to Bid adj. under Mobile Phones Column, click on the pencil icon on the right side of the chart icon. You have the option to increase or decrease the bids here on a percentage level.

If you want to completely turn off impressions on mobile devices, you can choose decrease and set the adjustment to 100% and then hit Save.

You should be able to see the adjustment in the Bid adj. Column once you applied the bid adjustment. If you ever want to get impressions from mobile devices again, you can simply edit the bid adjustment and remove the 100% and hit save.

So that’s how easy it is to do Device Bid Adjustments in your Google ads campaign.
