In this article I’ll be showing you how easy it is to Import Google Analytics 4 Conversions to Google Ads as a way of conversion tracking.

Lets go ahead and go through the steps:

If you’re not aware yet on where to see your conversion actions and tracking you need to go to Tools and settings > Measurement > Conversions.Naturally if you haven’t set up anything yet, that page would be empty but on my case there are already conversion actions set up. So click on the Plus button.

Google will then give you options of the conversions you wanted to track: Website, App, Phone calls, and Import.

Choose Import.

After clicking Import, another selection will appear and you will be asked what to import, on this case it’s Google Analytics 4 properties, then choose Web and continue.

In my case I’ve already linked my Google Analytics 4 account to my Google Ads account hence it was able to pick up my conversion events.

For this example lets import Retargeting_Purchase. Click Import and continue.

After clicking Import and continue this success message would appear. Click on Done button.

You should be able to see the conversion action that you’ve imported from your Google Analytics 4 account. As you can see, Retargeting_Purchase has been imported from GA4.

And that’s how easy it is to Import your GA4 Conversions to Google Ads.
